Even restaurants and transportation can be green.

National Parks

The National Park Pass is a good investment if you will be making frequent visits to the National Parks. The passes can be purchased for $50 and are a great deal as they cover all national parks for one full year.

When traveling with young children, pack things to keep your child occupied. Bring along anything your child loves to play with. It is also nice to purchase at least one new toy for the trip, since this will be a complete novelty and will keep your little one’s attention, for a longer period of time.

Force yourself to stay awake at least until early evening in order to acclimate better after you change time zones. Although you may feel sleepy, if you go to bed to soon, you are only protracting your jet lag because your body is going to remain in its usual time-zone mode. The quicker you get used to local time, the quicker jet lag will fade.

When you are on a cruise, you should interact with others while you are at dinner. Many times, you will sit with people you don’t know. Enjoy yourself and speak to everyone you meet. You’ll be seeing them every day, and you may learn a few things about the ship in the process.
